Having done the 'Blended Mosaic' tutorial by Gingercats at Catarific
I loved the effect and decided to take it one step further
So here goes
I have received written permission from Sue at Catarific
to post her link and use her tutorial.
This tutorial was written by me after playing around
with the finished results of the original.
Any similarities to any other tutorial are purely
co-incidental.
First you need to go HERE
where you will find all the supplies you
need to download.
Please follow the Blended Mosaic tutorial up to and including
step 7
The mask I used is HERE. Save and open in PSP.
Eye Candy 3 (Optional), You can get it HERE.
Then
Add a drop shadow to your tube layer using these settings
What you have should now resemble this ...
Open your mask on your workspace then click on your
mosaic layer again to activate it.
Go to ...
Image - Canvas Size and resize your canvas to 250 x 250.
Make sure your tube is still central and not touching the
sides ... If it is then resize until it looks something like
this.
Merge layers Visible
Go to Mask - New - From Image
Scroll to find your mask - Make sure that Invert Mask is NOT checked.
Highlight it then click OK.
Then
Mask - Delete
(click yes to merge the mask in the option box that comes up!)
