Paint Shop Pro - You can get a trial version HERE
Bug Tubes - You can download the ones I used HERE
A large font - I used Arnold Boecklin - You can download it HERE
Open a new canvas sized 500 x 500, you can crop it later.
Flood fill with White
Set your foreground and background colours as follows
(#FF5A2A and #FFE534)
Set your text tool to Arnold Boecklin (or the font of your choice) size 72, Vector and Antilias checked. (Yes Vector ... you heard ... lol)
Make sure your name is in the middle of your workspace to allow room for the bugs.
On your layer palette open up your vector layer, Right Click on your name
Convert text to curves as character shapes
This will then put all your letters onto their own layer.
Click on the Initial letter to your name - You should now have
a vector box around just the first letter
Stretch this letter out so that it is bigger than the others
Your image should now look like this
Right click and convert to raster layer
Add an inner bevel to your name using these settings
Open your bug tubes and resize them both to match the perspective of your letters.
Add as new raster layers to your image. Name the layers appropriately
Duplicate your snail layer and mirror image it.
Hide the original (You will see why later!)
Place the spider at the bottom of your first letter
and the snail on the top of the last one
