Make sure your Fairy layer is still active and select the Freehand tool set point to point, Feather 0 Zoom in on your image so you can see what you are doing more clearly Very carefully select the wings from around the fairy, once you have selected the first part, hold down the shift key and move onto the next section, continuing in this way until the whole of the wing is selected. Release the shift button and double click to end the selection click inside the selection to 'float' the selected image Then on your layer palette right click on the layer that says 'Floating Selection' Promote this to layer and name Wings Your wings are now on a separate layer of their own Now you need to resize and add your wand . Place it in your Fairy's hand and add the same drop shadow as used in the previous settings - again replacing the offset 3 with 1 Add this 3 times Drag this layer to the top of your layer palette Make your Wings layer active and lets add some glitter Effects - Noise - Add - 35 - Uniform Activate your name layer VM Natural - Sparkle - Size 8, Random seed 142, Leave the other settings at default Merge visible and save as Image 1 Undo Merge Undo Sparkle Undo Noise Activate your wing layer Effects - Noise - Add - 40 - Uniform Activate your name layer VM Natural - Sparkle - Size 8, Random seed 90, Leave the other settings at default Merge visible and save as Image 2 Undo Merge Undo Sparkle Undo Noise Activate your wing layer Effects - Noise - Add - 45 - Uniform Activate your name layer VM Natural - Sparkle - Size 8, Random seed 50, Leave the other settings at default Merge visible and save as Image 3 * * * Open Animation Shop Open your Animation Wizard Use the default settings through to the animation frame length I used 10 but you may want to play around with timings to find one you like Add your images 1 through to 3 making sure you have them in ascending order Hit finish Crop your image to size making sure that you don't cut off any of the graphic And 'Voila' You have your own Fairy Glitter Signature Tag Here is the one I did Please do not copy this tutorial or Pass it off as your own You are welcome to link to this tutorial Fairy Image ©Shirley Barbers (used with permission) DO NOT remove copyright image from tube If you don't want to display it ... then substitute the tube with another one !!!   Back to Page 1 Back to Tutorial Index Back to Homepage *Best viewed with a 1024 x 768 Screen Resolution* ©Snowdrop Design 2003
